This has happened to me soooo... many times, I swear the Sukhumvit Gods are up against me. Why else would I ALWAYS end up with a pair of chopsticks that just can NOT grab what they're supposed to grab because they're basically going on their separate ways~?!

















OK, so "always" could be an exaggerration, but I swear this has happened to me OFTEN ENOUGH that I've taken notice~!!

Another valiant attempt at Engrish, this time plastered on some stairs of a house decor shop in Sukhumvit 33/1:

Me #1: "What the hell is 'lady bay'~?!"

Me #2: "Maybe they meant 'ladyboy' (katoey)~!!"

Me #1: (* rolls eyes to the heavens *) "And WHY would this shop sell 'ladyboy'~?! DUH~!!"

Me #2: (* looks at the Thai sign next to 'lady bay' *) "OH~!! It says 'krapao'~!! They meant 'ladies' bags'~!!!"

Me #1 and Me #2: "HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA~~~!!!"

My favorite khao man gai dude in Sukhumvit 38 has adopted a new kind of BLING fashion:














I asked to take his pic, and he said sure. I snapped one shot and asked for another one. He asked why, and I said, "Naa rak diiiii~~!!!" (You're very cute~!!).

Pssst... THIS is the guy you should buy your khao man gai from if you ever have a chance to eat in the famous Sukhumvit 38 outdoor eateries. Sure his khao man gai is more expensive (40 baht) than others' (30 baht), but I guarantee you that extra 10 baht is your ticket to foodie heaven~!! (Hopefully he'll keep on wearing his crown so first-timers to Sukhumvit 38 will have an easy time spotting him~!!)

Heh heh thaaanks~~ It's also because I'm lucky enough to live on Sukhumvit Road, where every day is different~!! If you ever get a chance to visit, I'll take ya around and you'll see what I mean~!!

Then you really should try the khao man gai from the "bling bling" seller~!! It's a bit more expensive than others' (40 baht instead of 30 baht), but it's SO worth it~!!
