Sukhumvit was overrun by a whole bunch of four-legged bovines~!! *mooooo~!!*
Eh-heh... seriously... these 28 life-size polyester cows are actually part of the "EU Herd of Cows" exhibition, which is theworld's biggest public art event representing the European Union and its member states.
We all got acquainted with each other at my beloved Emporium and the Benjasiri Park (right next to Emporium).
Though each cow represented its own country of origin, some were waaaaay easier to guess (example: tulips = the Netherlands) than the others (check out the mind-boggling French one)!!
And... correct me if I'm wrong... but were there TWO different painted cows from Spain~?!
This cow parade has stopped by many European countries, as well as China, Malaysia and Vietnam. After Thailand, they will also visit Japan and Indonesia.
Nevertheless, though these cows were mighty cute, I actually like THIS kind of cow better:
There's a blog on my page "International Cow Parade" with those cows in a PowerPoint slide show.
OH WOW your collection's way bigger than this one~!!
Thanks John; I truly enjoyed watching those zany cows~!! My fave are: the sick cow ("I got a cowld"), the thinking cow, the Harry Potter cow (what a wonder the broom didn't break under its weight~!!), the French lingerie cow, the melting ice cow, the "Cowzan" (hilarious pose~!!), the "Cowzteca", the "Trojan Cow" (sooo funnyyyy~~!!), the "Mood Morning" cow, and the Moomaid cow~!!
but these cows look way cuter than ones i met at Chokchai farm...
Y'know what~ I heard that Thailand, being a tropical country, is way too hot for cows to get all fat and full of yummy milk and meat... The hot weather is also not very conducive for making dairy products... that's why milk and beef from the West (or at least countries with cooler climates) taste BETTER~!! YUM~!!
